A few VTubers have talked about using voice changers in the past, and some still use them today. There are also VTubers who use text-to-speech instead of their natural voice. People have different reasons for doing this. Some simply don't like their voice, while others use voice-changing software for privacy. For me, privacy was one of the main reasons.

When I first started looking into streaming, I spent quite a bit of time searching for a voice changer that would work for me. Funny enough, the voice changer I eventually bought ended up costing more than my premade VTuber model.

I originally tried Voicemod, but after watching a video about Voidol, I decided to give that a try instead. One of the biggest things that appealed to me was that it was a one-time purchase. I didn't really want another subscription just to keep using my voice changer.

I've had some sound issues with Voidol from time to time, especially because I don't want it to dramatically change my voice. I wanted something that still sounded relatively natural while giving me that extra layer of privacy.

Overall, I've enjoyed using a voice changer while streaming. Every once in a while, I'll get some flak for using one, but it hasn't really made me want to stop. It's simply part of how I've chosen to present myself as a VTuber.
