After I awaken, I look around, and it looks like an apartment room, but not like one I have been to before. It was dark in here, as only the window provided light. After looking up, I pull the string that looks like it is attached to a light.
The light fills the room, and now I notice that it is run down as if someone has not been in there for years. After looking around the apartment, I didn't find anything useful, or I am not sure if it is very useful. But the smell from the metal cabinet was unbearable. Everything in it was moldy or spoiled.
I put my hand on the exit door, but I felt uneasy. Opening it, I looked down the hall. It was dark and run-down, like an apartment room, with some lights broken or flickering. I looked the other way, and it was the same as the other path.
Picking the first path I looked at, I walked down it. The more I walked, the more it felt like it was a very large apartment complex as the halls felt endless. Some doors have planks of wood nailed onto them while others are closed or open. It was only when I saw the blood on the floor in a closed room that my uneasy feeling got worse. I drew my knife and kept going.
At times I look down the hallway as the path splits and the lights flicker as if sending a warning to me. It has to be mind playing tricks on me as other lights have done this before. But if I focus too hard in the silence I either hear what is dripping water but other times I could hear distant footsteps of someone else. I need to keep going or this will drive me to madness. There was no dungeon from where I was from that was like this. There was nothing like halls that felt like I had been walking in circles as things on the wall looked the same.
I am not sure how long it has been it felt like hours had passed but the clocks on the wall showed only an hour had passed. I am not getting out of here, am I? At that moment, I heard an odd wet kind of sound. Looking around, I saw it. It was just an eyeball on the ground which had a small blood trail leading to it. Maybe I was just imagining things. Eyeball was focused on me and just waiting there as if examining me. When I back up it would follow. A large bang echoed as if a door was smashed out.
I bolted down the hallway from the direction of where I heard the sound. I could hear the sound of the eye following me along with the large sound of something else coming closer and closer. It felt the lights flickering faster and faster as it came closer. I slowly turned to look behind me, and the sound kept getting louder as it neared me. The thing dragging itself through the hallway was not just a mass of flesh but a grotesque collection of bodies with limbs flailing chaotically. It has dozens of eyes all over which are frantic with some closely focusing on me.
I double my speed turning as fast as I can to jump down the stairs to the next floor. The stairs didn't stop the speed of this thing at all. I start panicking as this thing will catch up with me at some point. I look back and forth for something as my heart starts pounding harder in my chest. I saw an apartment door that was open with an intact door. Entering the room, I slammed the door and fumbled my fingers to turn all the locks on it as I could. I also turned over some shelves to block the way.
I thought I was safe but that was only for a moment. The monster started to slam the door with all its might. I go to the window and look outside but window escape was a no-go. My heart felt like it would burst out of my chest as I frantically tried to look for something but started to sink in there was nothing out there to make it work.
Every crash of the monster hitting the door sent tremors throughout my body. Is this the end for me? I could see the arms of the monster reaching in. I dash to the door and start stabbing the monster. Blood was everywhere and the monster became even more violent. The smell of the monster makes me so nauseous and my heart pounds harder. The door was not going to hold. I muster all the courage I had to jump out of the window.
After one last stab, I turned to dash to the window but I heard some of the bast-like explosions. I turn to see parts of the monster covered in ice as it pulls away. Then gunshots of firearm echoed as the monster made its escape.
It became silent again, I felt relieved. After a few minutes that felt like forever passed. Then the muffled voice outside the door came. When a knock on the door came a new mixed feeling came as I gripped the knife harder. A calm male's voice said "Hey anyone in there? There are multiple of us out here so you will be safe. So don't worry."
