Genesis is not a world of order. It is a landfill of broken realms, forgotten dreams, and discarded souls. To survive here, understanding what you face is not optional—it is essential.
This guide outlines the formal system Divers and archivists use to identify, track, and categorize the anomalies, entities, and beings that populate Genesis.
Grade Classification – Threat Rating
Used to determine how dangerous or reality-warping a being or object is. Grade Classification apply to Entities, Anomalous Items, and Zone Hazards.
Grade | Description |
---|---|
Grade F | Harmless. Oddities or curiosities. Possibly even helpful. |
Grade D | Mild disruptions. May have passive effects, but still risky in the wrong hands. |
Grade C | Known to cause injury or altered perception. Triggers under stress. |
Grade B | Active anomaly. Hostile or environment-warping. Needs group clearance. |
Grade A | Dangerous enough to require full-team intervention. Often has a kill or break-on-sight protocol. |
Grade S | Catastrophic. Escaping or engaging without preparation is suicide. Some aren’t even fully real anymore. |
Origin Type – Dimensional Source
Where the entity or object is believed to have come from.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Native | Born from Genesis itself. True child of the world. |
Dumped | Discarded or ejected from another dimension. |
Cracked | Fell through by accident (e.g. people, items, fragments). |
Summoned | Brought intentionally—via ritual, contract, or device. |
Lost Archive | From collapsed timelines or forgotten versions of Genesis. |
Function Type – Behavioral Identity
How the entity behaves or what it does. This defines interaction style, abilities, and threat structure.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Covenant | Makes deals, enforces contracts. (e.g., Broker Wolf) |
Echo | Manifested emotion or memory. Often tragic or violent. |
Zone-Anchored | Bound to a specific location. Warps space around itself. |
Possessor | Occupies objects or bodies. May speak through them. |
Item-Bound | Lives inside an item. Often mistaken for magical tools. |
Mimetic | Spreads through knowledge, sight, or belief. |
Remnant | Survivor of destruction, incomplete or unstable. |
Swarm | Exists as many small pieces—collective behavior. |
Synthetic | Artificially made. Often misunderstood or mislabeled. |
Optional Tag: Affiliation
Not all entities are wild. Some serve causes, factions, or philosophies. If applicable, entities may be tagged with affiliations.
