Overview
Mannequins are humanoid figures encountered in Muhan Apartments. They remain perfectly still while observed. When unseen, they relocate silently, often appearing closer to travelers than before.
They are most commonly reported in stairwells, empty apartments, and elevator lobbies. Their stillness can make an occupied space resemble an abandoned one until someone notices that a figure has changed position.
Observation and Movement
Their defining behavior is the difference between being watched and being unseen. An observer may find the same figure in a new location without hearing its approach or seeing it move.
The reports do not establish whether every Mannequin behaves identically. The limits of observation, the distance they can travel, and their response to indirect observation have not been confirmed.
Encounter Considerations
Muhan Apartments' survival guidance advises maintaining visual contact with Mannequins while the group withdraws behind a door or corner. Their position should be tracked rather than dismissed because they appear inert.
A barrier or change of route does not establish that an entity has been permanently contained. The building's repeating floors and shifting interiors also make it difficult to judge whether a later sighting is the same figure.
Current Understanding
Their origins, motives, and full capabilities remain unknown. They are recorded separately from ordinary furnishings because of their repeated, observation-dependent relocation. A confirmed sighting establishes that behavior without resolving what the figures are or what happens when they reach a traveler.
