Overview
Suzu is a young human illusionist and member of the Office of Infinite Horizon. Reserved, resourceful, and meticulous, she combines bell-based illusion magic with skill in daggers and throwing daggers.
Her connection to the Office began when one of its members saved her from execution. That rescuer had been the target of an assassination she was ordered to carry out.
Displacement and Betrayal
Suzu's first home faced destruction. Its elders arranged passage to another Node, but only some people could be saved. Suzu was among those permitted to leave.
The refuge she reached later faced another catastrophe. This time, its leaders could not arrange another escape. When a member of the Office of Infinite Horizon arrived to help prevent the disaster, the elders regarded that person as a threat and ordered Suzu to kill them.
The attempt failed. Her leaders sentenced her to death for that failure, but her intended victim intervened and saved her life. The Office member's identity remains unknown.
Membership in the Office
Suzu is now a member of the Office of Infinite Horizon, whose work seeks to prevent the destruction of every Node and preserve the continuity of life within Postremo Limine.
Her history connects her to the dangers of displacement and the decisions made when a community faces destruction. The Office's investigations, interventions, and evacuations concern the same kinds of threats that have shaped her life.
Appearance
Suzu has long, straight black hair with a purple sheen and prominent bangs. Golden-amber eyes, a fair complexion, and ordinary human ears define her appearance.
A small, knowing smile can accompany her otherwise reserved manner. Her watchfulness and careful attention to her surroundings are consistent with the caution she brings to unfamiliar situations.
Bell-Based Illusions
Suzu rings a bell to create illusions. These can conceal her and nearby allies by making them appear invisible, or produce illusory duplicates to confuse an opponent.
The size of her illusions is limited. Their scale restricts what she can conceal or imitate, making size a practical boundary on the use of her magic.

Suzu is calculating, observant, and adaptable. She pays close attention to details, considers potential dangers, and looks for workable solutions when circumstances change.

She values the relationships she forms and is fiercely loyal to people she considers friends. Seeing others suffer troubles her, as does feeling unable to help when someone she cares about is in danger.
